for everyone with kind words, I thank you so much.  It really does make me feel better in a time of such crap to know some other people liked my car.  I loved that thing more than any of you guys could imagine, and I bathed and took care of it like a child.  I made a mistake, and I learned from it.  I won't ever be that stupid again, nor will I let anyone within my limits do such a stupid thing.  I'm going to pay for this accidnt for a long long time, and Theres nothing really I can do about it.  I think I'm going to get a 4 runner or something until I graduate college, and then maybe build up something really nice, but until then, I wont think twice about a nice sports car.

But no joke, those of you with nice words really made me feel better.  Thanks for at least understanding that I learned my lesson and things will be okay one day.

I have a ton of P.M's about parts, So if it takes a few days to get a respone, please don't flip on me.

I'll still lurk around the forums until I get a new stang to bug you guys with, so I'll be in touch.

Love you boi's

peace and love.

yeah for everyone whos giving this kid sh*t chill, we all f*ck up...

last year when i was in high school i was at this girls house with some friends drinking and by the end of the night i blacked out (dont do more then one 6shots in a cup chug of captain, i did 3 and still had more), woke up the next morning kinda confused how i got home because i was going to stay there, so i walked outside to my explorer and it was fine so i called the girl whos house i was at and she said while i was "walking" out the door i said, "dont worry ill wear my belt seat." and the b*tch still let me drive home, she lives in the same neighborhood as me but still. I havnt talked to her since and i dont have a single drink if im driving. My best friend called her the next day and gave her an ear full too. I didnt have a lesson anywhere near what you did dude but i learned it fast. and what you said about not letting anyone else do it is the smart thing, i was in no condition to leave and if you know your friends arent, do w.e. to not let them.

sorry man, great car but were young and we have our whole lives to have a nice cars, were both just lucky were still here to have that opportunity

Damn... sucks that you made such a mistake and lost such a beautiful car. Like everyone else has said, ya live ya learn. That's how I learn best... by ****ing up bad.  Hopefully you end up in a nice Stang down the road.

But WTF... no story??

I don't think he's going to.

To be honest, it looked like he was probably in that 'hey, i'm ready for some fun stage' (as in, not **** faceed..lol)

Might have been messing around, curve too fast, clipped the front and DESTROYED the rear on a pole of somesort. That impact looks viscious.

I'll be 100% honest. I've been 21 for 2 years now, and I'd be a liar if I said that I'd NEVER gotten behind the wheel after a few drinks.

Theres a difference between 'knowing you'll be okay, unless you get pulled over cause you're probably over the limit' and 'screw it, i wont get pulled over....'

those of you who do occasionally have a drink and drive know what i'm talking about

I've never been 'unsafe' but 1 time i know i shouldnt have been driving.. was pissed at myself as soon as i pulled in the driveway

Well I would tell you how horrible of a person you are for driving drunk and how stupid you are but I won't. My last mustang was flipped end over end 3 times and rolled 2 time after I had been drinking (4 beers).  I know it wasnt the beer that caused the accident it was the inch of ice on the road the ass tailgating me but it was the beer that let me think I could speed up to get distance for the ass to make my turn. Luckly the cops didn't find me drunk and wrote a no fault report but I know it was stupid. Haven't drank and drove since. Hope you get another mustang ( insurance bought me a better one) and I hope you learned a lesson.

yea it sucks that he made a mistake and destroyed a beutiful car.  but you play with matches you will get burned. im glad that your all right and you didnt kill anybody  but it happens far too often.. mothers, fathers, daughters and sons never to return to there familys  thats  so sad that somebody wouldnt take the time to plan ahead. hey if your going to a bar to get drunk how are you going to get home??????  to me thats permedated if you know that when you leave you will be intoxicated.

im not trying to bash this guy for the mistake that he made, hell no one on this forum is a saint and we all have made mistakes(some peoples are just bigger than others!) i myself  i stole a 90 mustang gt  when i was 15 in the middle of january in michigan with 3 feet of snow on the ground. i broke in to the auto shop at my high school  hot wired it and went for a joy ride that quickly turned bad. needless to say i hit a turn sign doing 120+ and sliced the car in 2 all the way to the dash thank god it was there cause there was a river 10 feet away and a 100+ year old oak tree less than a foot from the drivers door. i accepted ALL responceablty for my actions and the beating i recived from the cops.   plain and simple i did it and it was all my fault and i had to face all the critizism from my actions and was force to change high schools, pay over 40,000 dollars in lawer fees and ruined my life for 3 years over a stupid joy ride.     once again im sorry for your loss and i just hope that you will NEVER drink and drive again.  a 10 dollar cab ride is cheaper than a 15,000 dollar car and jail time.

haha damn, some of you guys did some pretty stupid things too!  But yea, lesson learned without a doubt.

I just received news from insurance that I won't be able to completely part out the car, but I can get the wheels and maybe a few little things.   So I'll take what I can and post up some pics for those interested.

I'm thinking 04' cobra once I graduate college here in a few years

Damn man sucks about that car it looked nice but like others say I feel not a bit sorry for you, thank god your ok tho. If you was that lit and drove you deserve no pitty, I lost a good friend to a drunk driver on our prom night . Some ass was really lit , trying to show off and hit my boy and his girl and killed them both. Everyone sayin its just a stupid mistake must have never lost anyone to a reatarded situation, Drinking and driving is a matter of common sense and if you dont have enough of it to tell your not able to drive then you shouldnt be driving period. Im not trying to rag on you or preach but damn that sucks man .

Sucks man, everyone makes mistakes.  I'd be a liar if told you that I'd never been behind the wheel drunk, but luckily my lesson was learned without wrecking a car (although I have totaled a car when perfectly sober).  Anyways, thats a long way from being the #2 on the black mustang pageant we had a while ago, that was a nice car man.  Its a shame, but **** happens, just be happy you walked away from it.  Hopefully you have learned your lesson and without the cost of personal injury or someone elses life.

Sorry to hear about your car. Remember running against you for the best looking black stang contest lol. Hope everything works out for you. I wrecked my 99 GT when I had been drinking, but it was due to black ice. Similar story to oxfordgt's story. I had a 98 4runner before that in college. Best vehicle I've ever owned. You won't be disappointed with it. Plus you'll find more money in your pocket since 4runners really don't need modding. Good luck bro. -SHO
