Id guess between 270-290 at the wheels. Alot of people will tell you that a cam swap will help you alot..the Ford letter cams are old technology but they still work decent in my opinion. Sorry for rambling on

its ok im not swapping the cam because im building a 347 and going custom cam from jay allen....wow 270-290 sucks especially for all the work i did to it and $$ i put in...like my dad said if i did same work to a small block chevy i'd be making insane power...i think its time for a power adder theni would have figured i'd be in the mid 300 range easy..

You're making way more than 290RWH or whatever the last guy said
.
Nope I doubt he is at the rear wheels.. my friend has a mirror image of that set up in his carbed 68 cougar and only diff is it has an f-cam and it dyno'ed 268 rwhp and has run a best of 12.90 @106

id say u might come real close to 300 if u swap that cam out for something a little more aggressive
my new motor in my sig feels real strong with the cam i chose , and no numbers yet as i am trying to get it painted real soon and a few more miles on her and then to the dyno for a little a/f ratio tuning and maybe a chip well see how it runs
if your refering to his build ^^^^ not even ..more like low 13's high 12's with a good driver and traction...

when my 85 had a slower motor = 308 with .040 forged light weight pistons....f-cam, 185 afr's air gap intake and 650 carb and equal length headers and gears and slicks...best time was 12.79 @105 .....and my carbed build that parralled efi builds were always faster even with nearly identical set ups.....so He might pull a 12.90 but the only way to prove this point is take it to the track.............to run low 12's I pulled the motor put in .200 dome pistons = upped compression to 11 to 1 and changed cam to xe 282 hr .565/.574 and then I had my low 12..I also added elec water pump and fan and Lt's and it ran 12.20 @ 112...on a moderated launch....had I of launched hard maybe 12.10's ...12.00's???....and my car is full weight so compare builds and you'll see what it takes to get low 12's in a full weight car
It's not going to see 300 honest HP at the wheels, maybe with a cam swap it might, Edelbrock heads are decent heads, but to produce an honest 300+rwhp would most likely require better induction and a cam swap(and maybe even better heads). If you think you can just slap some parts together and go make 300rwhp then you've been reading too many magazine articles, no offense. Power can definately be had with the proper build(ie carefully selected parts, a bunch of money and proper assembly), but too many people make it sound like making all that power is just so damn easy, when it's not. Besides, everyone spends far too much timing chasing after dyno numbers, what you want is the best total average power and for the car to PERFORM BEST FOR WHAT IT'S INTENDED.
