Default Weds Night at Raceway Park Vids Added

When to the track for the first time with the new motor so forgive me if I should be running quicker then I did. I did a total of 5 runs and I got 3 runs on video. All runs were done on Nitto Drag Radials with between 24 and 30 lbs of pressure, minimum burn out (big mistake). I definitely need to get a tune(stock tune) and some sort of high flow midpipe. The car pulls strong all the way through the rpm range.Any suggestions by the quarter mile gurus will be appreciated. I think the car has plenty of more potential.

1st run
60 ft- 2.134
1/8- 9.289
1/8mph77.60
1/4- 14.355
1/4 mph- 98.21

2nd run

3rd run
60 ft- 2.020
1/8- 8.990
1/8 mph- 78.46
1/4- 13.953
1/4 mph- 100.25

4th run
60 ft- 7.986

what was the DA? I'd figure with your mods that you'd be in the 12's, if not then a low low 13. How much track experience do you have?

On edit: post up the video and maybe we can see where the problem is.

Your 60fts would be decent for a hard street tires. Work on those launches, and like you said, get them hot. You'd figured that car would trap 105+ in the 1/4, and 82-83+ in the 1/8.

What is the DA? The highest temp all night was 66 degrees and the lowest was 61 degrees. There was 0 humidity. I have a decent amount of track time, but it was all on the old npi motor. I have only ever raced on street tires, never on these Nitto DRs. I will post up the video as soon as i get home.

By chance do you ever hit Atco? It's maybe 15 minutes from my house. If so, how do the two tracks compare? I've heard Englishtown has a much better track.

I don't know about 12's with the car as it sits unless you're running 1.7 range 60's.

But with those almost exact same 60's, I'm running similar times to you with just 4.10's, o/r h and catback.

You're not trapping anywhere near where you should be, and I would guess part of that is your shifting. You've probably got a bit of time left in the gears. Even then though, you are not running what you should be.

Wish I knew how to help you other than maybe trying out a different track, heating the tires more / dropping the pressure a bit, and coming off the line harder. It didnt sound like you were leaving at that high of an RPM on those vids, but you were still spinning.
