thats what i thought, another mustang owner asked what the difference was between our cars (he had a blown 96gt) and he said pi heads, i added trany, and then he said engine internals from 02 and up blah blah and i didnt even know what i say. but as soon as we were lined up next to each other and i beat him... i knew he must know nothing and suck at driving haha. later that night another guy with a 04 gt was talking to him and i heard him ask what year it was, after he got the 04 as the response he goes, "oh so you have the good engine..." haha

ahaha the onnly difference from the 96-01 to the 02-04 is the pulley re routing, and the pi heads, well the 99-01 have pi but, they have a diff pulley routing which gives the 02-04 an extra 5-10hp

Wrong. They do have a different pulley routing set up, but it does NOT gain ANY horsepower at all. 99-04 GT's are all 260 HP at the crank.

The only other difference between 99-04 is the fact that they changed the head/spark plug design in 03 to keep plugs from shooting out of the heads.

well, the blocks changed

but one is certainly not stronger than the other

WIndsors were 99-early '01
Romeos after that..

its what causes the valve cover discrepincies*spelling* from time to time when people get new heads or do a PI swap

i know they changed the pully design on 1, but i dont believe it increased horsepower.... as it wasnt smaller.. was just a different design using the same resistance as the older one..? correct me if im wrong.
