Side note: I've got to drop my 02 off at the dealership sometime this weekend or Monday. I'm going to TRY to find what I need to take the JLT RAI off. I'm wondering about the XCal though. If I return the tune to stock, the speedo will be off, but I get to keep the tuner for the new car. The o/r X would trip the check engine light, but they will end up having to put cats on the car before they sell it anyway. I would do it no question but the sales manager at the dealership is a good guy and a member of the local forums...and BTW I won't be able to get a speedcal that quick.

For the trade in, they gave me just under $11K for the GT and my 2000 Explorer XLS with 119K miles. That seemed OK, considering their combined blue book trade in value was under $10K.

Yup. Now I gotta learn how to drive it! The last stick I owned as a 4 cylinder Grand Am...different beasts for sure. I've never raced with a manual....
