Default wont start

My 98 mustang GT has been in garage for 1 year. I have new battery and car will not start. does not sound like fuel pump is engageing. Is there a reset button ?

im not sure about your model year.. but you could check the trunk for the fuel cutoff and see if it triggered.. has it been sitting for a year without being run? if it has your fuel will turn into sludge.. clogging the pump, injectors and fuel line.

it will be in the trunk right behind the driver side tail light, has a red button. check for fuel pressure on the fuel rail

My best friend's dad had a real niceold car he would leave in the garage all year until summer then take it out just once or twice and leave it again (he travelled a lot and was never home anyways) but every year first thing he would do is put new gas in it.. put liquid carb cleaner in with it to help clean up all that gunk crap.. and spray aircarb cleaner down the air intake while somebody started it and after a minute it would run fine..

just a thought.. always worked great for him
