It depends what tire you want to run. If you want to go with a drag radial or just your normal street tire. I would say stick with that size if you want to run a drag radial simply for the fact that they tend to hang over the lip of the rim and give you that "meaty" look even at 275-285 width.

If you go with a street rie and want a mean ass, aggressive look I would go nothing short of 315 in the back. If I had it to do over again and went with a street tire I would have gone with a 335 in rear and rolled the fenders. My 315s look great though. I have meat hanging over with 315 running 10.5 DD in back.

It's all about preference and price. I bought my setup off ebay. Deep dish cobra Rs with Vredstein 315s in back and 275 in front all for a little over $1000. I should have gone skinnier in fron though. You can't beat that price with a stick...

What makes you say this? I have the same size in front and it is fine.

my personal opinion is go with 17" rims if you do any type of racing at all because rubber is a lot cheaper for 17's compared to 18's, I went with the 18's and rubber is expensive. but I also have 6 extra wheels and tires for various racing
