Default New Dyno Results - Low numbers??

Hey guys,

Just came back from a dyno day. There was a huge number of cars on the dyno, so I didn't have much of a chance to talk to the operator about the results. Can you guys chime in (be nice please ).... Let me know what I'm looking at. The two pulls were done on a Mustang Dyno, so I know that the numbers are lower than DynoJet. My setup is in my sig at the bottom.
Please take a look at the attached dyno sheet. I'd appreciate your input. Does it seem (more or less) where it should be for my set up?? Thank you in advance....

I'm sorry but I'm not able to read your attachment. What kind of hp/torque #'s did you get?

Sorry about the quality of the attachment. At the bottom, it lists 200 rwhp and 198 TQ on the first run. 199 rhpw and 198 TQ on the second run... Unless I'm reading it wrong, but it is what it is......

Nope that seems to be about right to me I had about 189 with almost the same mods as u when I had my mustang. But I had bigger rims and gears. So yeah it seems to be pretty close to what you should be getting exspecially with an auto.

Your torque number seems a bit low, but your HP is about right for your mods. As a comparison, when I had the tune/CAI, and single GT take-off on my 4.0L/auto, on a Mustang Dyno I was at 190rwhp and 220# in torque.

That bothered me too. But.... Spoke with the owner/operator of the dyno. The runs were made in 4th gear on my automatic, and not in third. He said that the OD was off, and he brings the car up in speed high enough, so that it will not shift down to third during the pull. I would bet that is why the TQ is lower than most would report. I think most runs on autos are done in third because it is less of a pain to keep it in gear during the pull. Besides, if I wanted higher numbers all I'd need to do is put it up on a DynoJet anyway. Mustang dyno shows more "real world" numbers that are more likely to be seen on the street. Thanks for your comments !

I know my dyno numbers were 208.4rwhp and 248lbs torque. Just an 87 octane gas.

I've been reading several Mustang forums since I got my Mustang back in July 2006. I have seen HP and TQ numbers fluctuate so much from dyno to dyno and car to car no matter how identical the mods that I don't really don't trust them anymore. You can only compare dyno runs to another car dyno'd on the same day by the same operator using the same adjustments on the same dyno.
