You can be sure that the times are changing and with 50 solid years of Mustang production under Ford’s belt, a brand new logo has been presented to represent this massive milestone. Supposedly, an internal design duel was held before selecting the 50th anniversary, 2015 Mustang logo.

This new logo will soon be spotted on apparel everywhere such as t-shirts, watches, die-cast models, video games, you name it. You can fully expect to see this logo everywhere in the very near future as fifty companies already hold the license to distribute products featuring the all-new logo.

Ford designer Michael Thompson designed the winning logo, sporting the iconic running pony silhouette while “50 Years” sits below it. This logo is set to appear in either black or white, depending on the application.

With the 50th anniversary mark looming, strong rumors and even spy photos of the 2015 S550 Mustang have surfaced, giving everyone a good idea of what to expect with the whole ’15 model year redesign. While some people are already lining up to hate it, others are trying to accept the fact that it is time for the Mustang to switch platforms and move on. Ford even seems set on ditching the live rear axle for 2015 in favor of an independent rear suspension, as indicated by the spy shots.

When Might We See the 2015 S550 Mustang?

Well, Ford is planning a year long party for the kickoff of the 2015 Mustang that is set to begin at this year’s New York Auto Show. Many rumors have been swirling around the net that the 2014 NY International Auto Show is where we’ll get our first glimpse of the finalized 2015 redesign we’re all eagerly waiting to see. While it’s no guarantee, expect at least some form of insight from Ford at that event this year, especially considering the number of high profile debuts being made at the show.
