Engine Swap by Kurgan Motorsports Showcased at Ford Nationals
Win $1,500 in Ford Racing Performance Parts!
Bear witness to the “Coyote Countdown,” an on-site engine swap as part of the Carlisle Ford Nationals, and win! The countdown gives you a chance to win $1,500 in Ford Racing Performance Parts by accurately guessing how much time it will take (in hours and minutes only) for Kurgan Motorsports to swap out the engine from a partially-restored Fox body 1993 Mustang Coupe and replace it with a new Ford Racing “Coyote” 5.0 V-8.
Kurgan’s Mustang is tired but still running, and following an overhaul from CJ Pony Parts and with additional support from Ford Racing, TREMEC Transmissions, Aeromotive Fuel Systems, Team Z Motorsports Suspension, Kooks Custom Headers and Auto Meter Gauges, it will make its way to the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds for the final puzzle piece to be put in place.
That final piece, a “Coyote” 5.0 V-8 engine is also the key to one person winning the prize. Before the swap takes place, winning hopefuls must submit their timed guess online. The closest overall time without going over (in hours and minutes only) with the earliest submission date will win the $1,500 in Ford Racing Performance Parts. The submission deadline is June 1, 2011 at 5 p.m. and each entry will be time stamped to give an accurate record of submission. The clock will stop multiple times, including at the end of the day on Saturday and during any breaks the team may take.
Following the completion of the swap, Kurgan Motorsports will drive the Mustang to the Carlisle Burnout Pit where the true fruits of their labor will be revealed.
