Meanwhile, more serious Mustangs performers, like those with an engine
management system, might opt for Fidanza’s 3.2 clutch – still mindful
of its street manners but with Kevlar buttons for better grip and even
longer life.

“Our 4.3 clutch is targeted to the amateur racer,” explained Bob Scheid, vice president, Fidanza. “It has ceramic buttons attached to the puck that provide quite a grip upon engagement. If you’ve invested in a supercharger and nitrous oxide system, this just might be the clutch for your Mustang.”

Fidanza’s 5.4 clutch is for only the most race-ready Mustangs. It has no torsion damper and no marcel and the pads are made from sintered iron to help deliver instantaneous power.

“Unless you’ve rebuilt your engine with enhanced pistons, connecting rods, valve springs, hollow stem intake valves and camshaft, this clutch is not for you!” Scheid added.
