Ford Mustang Swallowed Whole by Kilauea Magma

New Edge Mustang becomes a sacrificial pony to the Big Island’s Kilauea volcano eruption in this dramatic video by CBS News.

Kilauea, the one of most active volcanos out of the eight Hawai’ian Islands, erupted near Pahoa on May 4, destroying paved roads, homes, lush forests, and of course, cars as well.

In the latest video above by CBS affiliate KHOU11we see a rather heart-wrenching scene of a New Edge Mustang completely engulfed by the unrelenting magma flow.

As you can see, it’s simply unsettling watching the magmatic mass plow through the metal gate (melting it almost instantly). Then you see the insatiable lava approach the helpless pony car and watch it catch fire instantaneously. By the time you finish watching the video, you will have either bawled your eyes out or you went outside to hug your precious Mustang.

As enthusiasts, this is obviously a dagger through the heart, but we at Mustang Forums are certainly grateful no one was killed in this scenario.
