After much anticipation and speculation, Ford Motor Company pulled the sheets off its refreshed 2013 the morning ahead of its formal introduction at the LA Auto Show–and fans of the iconic pony car are sure to be pleased.
Across the board The most noticeable styling difference is the GT500-inspired nose. The front fascia now extends all the way up to hood–actually wrapping up towards the base of the windshield– whereas the 2012 Mustang has a hood which extends out over the front fascia. This new front end design is standard across all of the 2013 Mustang trim lines.
Also standard is the new projection headlight setup, which includes integrated LED light bars in the headlight and corner marker. Along the lower portion of the front end, the fascia has a wider, more aggressive look, and more openings for improved cooling.
