Fisker-Galpin Rocket Speedster Unveiled at Pebble Beach

Last year, Galpin Auto Sports, in conjunction with designer Henrik Fisker, unveiled the pairing’s newest car, the Fisker-Galpin Auto Sports Rocket Speedster. Using a new 2015 Ford Mustang as the basis, Fisker essentially threw away the entire body, and designed an all-carbon look that took the Los Angeles Auto Show by storm. The car used the 5.0L Coyote V8 found in the 2015 GT, however, it was helped along with a supercharger that developed over 725 horsepower. No one saw this coming.

Since then, both Fisker and GAS have been hard at work fine-tuning some of the little details on the Rocket. And over the weekend at Pebble Beach, both Fisker and Galpin were on hand to unveil the company’s latest iteration of the Rocket, The Rocket Speedster. Essentially, the Rocket Speedster is the convertible version of the Rocket. Everything you liked about the original coach built Mustang appears to be on the new Speedster. However, the new Speedster top transforms the 2+2 coupe into a true 2-seat sports car.

Fisker and GAS haven’t disclosed the price of the new Fisker Rocket Speedster, but figure a healthy bump from the $106,000 it takes to get a “normal” Fisker Rocket.
