Mustang 5.0 Set to Battle in Epic Street Drag Race
This could very well go down as one of the most epic street drag races ever, certainly when it comes to legal ones in the city of Los Angeles.
On March 30, 16 of the fastest cars in the world will take to the streets of downtown L.A. in hopes of being crowned the Nitto Battle of the Streets Champion. And better yet, Nitto Tires is giving car lovers the opportunity to join in the fun by picking their own brackets. Whoever picks the closest bracket will have a chance at winning a trip to Las Vegas to take part in their own exotic racing experience.
The line-up for the battle includes everything from a Lamborghini Aventador to a Mustang 5.0, and practically every other car most of us have dreamed of driving. And of course, they’re all nicely fitted with Nitto tires. There’s even a Rolls Royce Phantom set to take the starting line on the 6th Street Bridge, which will be closed off for the showdown.
The period for submitting your bracket closes March 29, with the official details listed here. But we know most of us on Mustang Forums will be picking the home favorite, the 5.0., right? Even if the 8-seed has a first-round match-up with the 1-seed Mclaren 650s, right?
