Another Mustang Stolen From a Ford Plant?

It sounds like there could be a Mustang theft ring busy at work in Michigan.

There’s bold: The kind of behavior that’s so out of the ordinary it makes people stand up and take notice.

And then there’s really bold. Mind-boggling stuff. Like, the kind of stuff that’s made “WTF” an everyday part of the American lexicon.

Someone's been stealing new Mustangs from Ford's Flat Rock Assembly Plant.

We’re just going to file this one under “really bold.” Namely because anyone who has the guts to steal a Mustang right out of the parking lot at Ford’s Flat Rock Assembly Plant in Michigan (as reported by WXYZ Detroit), has got to be entirely different from most people.

Okay, I’m sure some of you are saying, “irrational thinking is the kind of thing that drives most thieves.” And for the most part, we’d agree. But when it comes to pulling off an illegal caper, there are definitely some that are considered higher risk than others. This one is definitely the later.

Trust us, just the logistics of what it takes to get through the security gate at a Ford facility like the Flat Rock plant, suggest that this is far from your run-of-the-mill theft. Then there’s the constant flow of local police who patrol the area that makes the idea even more insane.

According to the Detroit ABC news affiliate, the stolen Mustang was blue with white racing stripes. As a matter of fact, local authorities say there’s been a rash of Mustang thefts at different Ford facilities in recent months, indicating that it could be part of a larger ring.

Inside job? Maybe.

Either way, it definitely qualifies as a new level “bold.”
