Obama Hits Up the DC Auto Show, Checks Out the GT500

His old 300C is for sale, and the only things he’s driven since before being inaugurated are golf balls. But that couldn’t keep him from checking out the 650HP 2013 Shelby GT500 at the Washington DC Auto Show on Tuesday.

According to Jalopnik, he checked out a bunch of rides, including a Focus, ZR1, and Dodge Dart, but he apparently liked the potent Pony best. Hey, it makes sense that a guy used to being shuttled around in tank, helicopter and 747 would gravitate toward something with a little bit more power than your average ride…
