So here they are folks – those official numbers that everyone has been waiting for on the new Shelby GT350 and GT350R.

Well, perhaps the pricing isn’t quite as coveted as those output stats that we got wind of a few months ago, indicating the car would pack 526 horsepower and 420 lb-ft. of torque. Actually, come to think of it, news of the official pricing for the pair of high-performance variants really isn’t all that groundbreaking.

The costs that were leaked a few months ago were dead on, with the base GT350 starting at $49,995 with destination and the $1,300 gas guzzler-tax, according to a Car and Driver report. The starting price on the GT350R is $63,495.

There are only two main option packages with the GT350. One is the $7,500 Technology Package that includes features like Sync 3, a seven-speaker audio system with satellite radio, and Ford’s Integrated Driver Control System. The other package is the Track Package, which includes equipment like MagneRide and the heavy-duty front springs, a strut-tower brace, the Integrated Driver Control System, and a rear spoiler.

The performance options on the R model include a $3,000 electronics package that packs back in some of those comfort features that you lose on the base R model.

Among the color options, Triple Yellow will also cost you an additional $495, opting for the black roof will run you another $695, and another $475 for the racing stripes.
