2017 Shelby GT350R Giveaway

Shelby American Collection’s ‘Party & Car Show’ on Sept. 1 in Colorado also includes a drawing for a rare 2017 Shelby GT350R.

On September 1, Shelby and Mustang enthusiasts will gather in Boulder, Colorado, for the 2018 Shelby American Collection Annual Party & Car Show, one of the country’s biggest celebrations of Shelby heritage.

This year’s event will honor the late, great Dan Gurney (pictured), well-renowned race driver who won Formula One, Indy Car, NASCAR, Can-Am, and Trans-Am, among other prestigious races. He passed away on Jan. 14, 2018.

One of the most exciting parts of this year’s event will be the announcement of the winner of the related Shelby GT350R giveaway. The contest is a fundraiser to support the Shelby American Collection car museum in Boulder, and the winner of the new R model will be announced at 6 p.m. during the Shelby American Collection Annual Party & Car Show, which takes place from 3 to 8 p.m. (To take a chance on the Shelby GT350R, get contest and ticket details here.)

Established in 1996, the Shelby American Collection is a non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to preserving the racing history and achievements of Carroll Shelby and the Shelby American Team. The museum features the most extensive collection of Shelby Cobras, Shelby Mustangs, and Ford GT40 cars, as well as historical records and memorabilia. You will see tons of photos of “Team Cobra’s” best, including Phil Remington, Jack SearsAl Dowd, Henry Ford, and of course, Shelby himself.

Your ticket purchase includes general admission to the museum, a “1963 Cobras at Riverside Shelby American Collection” poster, an outdoors exotic car show, and more.

Feel free to bring your own Shelby, Mustang, or other collector car to display alongside the exotic sports and racing car show in front of the museum. For tickets and a schedule of events, visit here.
