Introduced at the Detroit Auto Show and available only on the Ford Mustang V6 Premium is Ford Equipment Group 203A – the official Mustang Club of America package.  This package is predominantly an appearance package, offering some measure of exclusivity to those who want a V6 Mustang with a little more personality than the general “base model” 2012 Ford Mustang.

The Mustang Club of America package carries an MSRP of $995 and while it is only available on V6 Premium models, buyers can opt for the coupe or convertible layout equipped with either an automatic or manual transmission sending 305 horsepower to the rear wheels.  Those wheels are 18″ Sterling Grey Metallic painted wheels with a split 5-spoke design, wrapped in all season 235-50-18 tires.

Inside, the 2012 Ford Mustang V6 Premium with Equipment Group 203A gets a set of unique premium carpet floormats with an embroidered Mustang Club of America logo.

While the Mustang Club of America package doesn’t offer any more bang for your buck, it does offer a handful of upgrades that helps add some luxury and a unique look over the non-special edition 2012 Ford Mustang V6 units.

If you do want a little more performance out of your 3.7L V6-powered 2012 Mustang, you can opt for the Mayhem Mustang package (formerly the V6 Performance Package).  This adds a strut tower brace, larger front and rear sway bars, unique front springs, high performance brake pads and calipers, 19″ rims wrapped in high performance tires and a special stability control calibration for heightened performance measures.  The Mayhem Mustang package adds $1,495 to the bottom line, but with this and the Mustang Club of America added to the 2012 Mustang V6 Premium Coupe – you still have a car under $30,000 that offers better than 30mpg.
