Corroded exhaust on EB mustang
I purchased a brand new 2016 EB Mustang in Jan 2016 in New Hampshire.
The vehicle had sat on the dealer lot for nearly 8 months.
After I purchased it, it mainly sat in my driveway in NH when in April 2016 it was close-carrier shipped to Arizona where it mainly sits in my garage.
I barely drive the vehicle (I work from home) and the car just turned 2000 miles.
I decided it was time to do an oil change due to the age of the oil, and while on the lift, the exhaust system from the down-pipes back (not the downpipes themselves, those look fine) to the resonator and mufflers look extremely corroded. It looks peppered with black blotches.
I thought these pipes were galvanized steel... I realize the car sits a lot, and was exposed to snow & salt in New Hampshire. But it's the rest of the undercarriage looks new, except for the exhaust.
Any thoughts?
