Default To cut or not to cut

Ive decided to go ahead and get a gt ake off muffler. but as the last week has gone by ive been debating more and more to just go ahead and get the h pipe installed. exhaust works quoted me 250 for the custom h pipe and istallation and muffler installation. my question is this....Do i really want to tear into the bumper to make room for the second muffler or should i just save a bit for the gt bumper and paint job for it? For those of you who had a body shop do the cut, how much did you pay? any cracking? i dont trust myself enough to tear into my baby myself.

Just go to a body shop and tell one of the guys you'll give him 50 BUCKS if he cuts a little for you

If you own a jigsaw, don't be afraid. It took me less than 1 minute to do. Just make a carboard template from the other side flip it over and use it to draw a linewith a sharpie. then take your jigsaw and cut along the line. It cuts Really easily and takes to time or even skill. It would be really really hard to mess it up. I have have never heard of anyone messing it up.

Do it yourself, you'll be proud you did.

GO FOR IT!!!

I am doing mine prob this weekend as soon as i get the duals. Hey think about it, if you mess up you throw it out and get the GT bumper, its a win win situation!! I here its very easy and just make sure you draw out the cut and then practice in the middle part to get the feel of how it cuts. then start doing the actual line. You will feel more comfortable this way.

I've done a lot of reading here regarding the bumper cut, and haven't seen one person muck it up.

When I was getting my exhaust done it cost me 20.00 for the cut. The used a drimmel tool with a fresh blade and it went great. They also used cardboard to stencil the exact shape!
