Default CDC Shaker Hood Scoop

Has anybody in Southern California had a CDC Shaker Hood Scoop installed on their 2005/2006 GT? I'm looking for a good shop to do mine. I live in the Riverside/Corona area.

I'll call the dealer and see. Never thought to try that. I normally avoid the dealer.

Your car looks great with the shaker. I just got off the phone with my friend Ken that owns the local Maico here in Riverside CA. He quoted me $300 to paint full GT stripes all the way to the bottom of the car. And before you laugh at him owning a Maico, he does lots of custom stuff also. Ken has built several custom cobra kit cars and they were all show quality. He is also willing to install the shaker system at Maico for me. I'm just so nervous to start doing stuff to this brand new GT. The Mustang is starting to steal my heart from all my motorcycles and racing go karts. What about water at the car wash going into the scoop? I know the system has drains but do they work ok?

I'm adding a Shaker to my '01 Bullitt (don't worry, bought a 2nd hood to keep it correct). Just always hated looking at that FAKE scoop. I'm planning to do myself and have a body shop paint the Highland green for me.

I driven in some heavy rain... and she goes through a brushless car wash on a regular basis. Never a problem with water in the shaker. It has a nice built in drainage system that works very well.

Better call Maco!
Does that 300 dollar paint job include wet-sanding the existing clearcoat, painting the stripes, re-clearcoating the panels, wet-sanding them again than buffing the panels out? I would make sure your friend does it right. It took a custom painter over 40 hours to do my striping, clearcoating and buffing. That works out to about 8 dollars an hour if I paid him 300 dollars.
If thsi guy does all that then you are getting an awsome deal. If not I would get another painter to do it correctly.
