Default Antennae

Hey i saw a couple people who installed shorter antennas. Just wondering how much they cost and where u can get them from. Thanks in advance

auto zone carries them two and they are around 5.99



and they fit perfectly the one I got does and the reception is just as good as the radio tower they put on it stock

Why buy one, I just removed the button on top and cut six inches of with a hacksaw,
then replaced the button. Keeps the factory look and did'nt cost a dime.

or if u just wanna get rid of the antenna with ease, go the route i went... little antenna stub (ebay $10)
you lose all reception, but i dont listen to the radio anyway so....

notice the little silver stub... sorry it may be kind of hard to see

Maybe that's what I should do... went to remove stock ant. to replace with 14" whip... twisted base of ant. off inside the black well it sits in. Bummer [:@] Guess I'll have to get that base replaced as all attempts to drill out the broken off piece were hopeless...

I just tried the .89 antenna mod... then I stopped.
The darn thing chips waaay to easily. Then I tried to pop the little ball off. Won't budge,
but will chip [:@]

I'll gladly give Autozone $6 for a shorty.
