Default GT Takeoff Wheels on V6 - What did you Do ?

I want to get the '07 GT takeoff Bullits for my V6'er. Some have stated you should lower the car to make it look right. Just wondering what you did, and what you think.

How much smaller in diameter are the GT takeoffs than the stock 16's on the '05 V6 ??

IF YOU DID LOWER YOUR CAR... did you use Eibach kit.

NO MATTER WHAT, POST A PICTURE if you have a good one. State if you have lowered or not.

I just put the exact bullitt wheels that you are talking about on my car yesterday. The tires are the same diameter as the V6 tires, so there is no speedometer calibration issues. I didn't lower my car, and it looks fine that way. However, lowering it would give it a more aggressive stance. I'll post pic over the weekend.

I put them on as well ... I plan on installing the Roush rear springs to lower the back end eventually ...

Mine are similar to GT take-offs (17" polished Bullitts with stock size P-Zeros). I did not lower mine (yet!). It looks fine as is, but it would look better lowered IMO. Picture below taken in November 2005, with 200-300 lbs of weight in the trunk (sits pretty nicely with weight in the trunk). I also figure that the driver adds 200 lbs to the car as well...

Are you going with the 17" or 18" bullitts. I have the 18" polished aluminum (64W)bullitts, and I am very happy with them.

You already know my opinion but here before and after pics; sorry the before isn't a very good angle but you'll probably get the idea.

The GT wheels really did it for me. These are the charcoal version with brighter rims. It is a perfect color match for the two color painted pin stripe on the side of the car.

Wow... this thread came back from the dead. 1.5 years between posts. I bought the takeoffs (at the awesome $299 Saleen deal) and did not lower the car. I think they look fine.

I know you just saw my car lowered on the other post, but I figured for kicks I show you what it was like before that.. I didn't notice the difference until I lowered it..
