When I had it angled down it did fit better and it is quite flexible so I'm fairly sure it can be made to work. The other advantage is this thing only costs about $70 so it's a cheap experiment.

An e-mail campaign to Cervini might be a good idea, or perhaps CDC. CDC's ducktail is very reminiscent of the late 60s style so they might be interested in making a front spoiler to compliment their ducktail. I'll see if I can hunt up the appropriate e-mail addresses on Cervini and CDC.

I'm thinking I'll need to fabricate a support bracket for the spoiler which will fit behind the bumper cover so it may take a while to get this sorted out, but I will take pictures of the process as it develops and post them for you.
