thanks, like that mach 1 theme(been admiring it for quite some time) the yellow and black is hot.this what is great about the new stangs, cusomize them for different years.just think where we'd be now if ford would have done this in the mustang II years *grin* what kind of 1/4 scoops do you have? bolt on or tape on?they look great

While I will agree it looks great, why put GT350 on it? You aren't *gasp* being a poser are you?

nah no poser,[ when the new stangs came out i figured id let the big engines be gt 500's i wondered why ford didnt make a gt350 in the smaller engine(just like the old days)so id figured id make one of my own um i think ford stole my idea lol,[sm=smiley35.gif]

I'm familiar with the GT500, and the Hertz GT (or GTH), but not a GT300. Isn't the new model the "Shelby GT"? I heard that the reason the Hertz is not a GT350 like the original though is because Ford "has plans for that name".

i may have read wrong but I was under the impression that the Shelby GT was to be decaled "GT 300" or something along the lines of it.

either way my thought is that it's making a car out to be much more than it is. in this case a v6 mustang badged like a classic shelby.

what being said I do like it.

thanks for the comments, not meant to be more than it is . i saw the gt300 stripe at the carlisle ford show last year and asked what it was about, and the answer was 300 hp in the gt engine(hokey i thought) like i stated before, i had the idea to do the 65-66 shelby theme when the cars 1st came out (with the roof 1/4 windows and all) they remind ya alot of the shelbys of those years.(yes im old enough to remember them lol)although i think i was in a pedal powered mustang at the time lol
i wondered why ford had the gt 500 comin out w/ the big v-8 (like the 67-70 era) and they didnt recreate the gt 350 w/ the smaller engine like that era.soooooooooo i figured id make one for myself*grin*so now i read the gt 350 model will be introduced soon. so i beat them to the punch. as i stated before the new 'stang has many of the cues of the years of the classic mustangs and most guys are personializing them to thier favorite year mustang which is "fantastic" i dont think anyone wants to represant something "more than it is" its just our way of bringin back our classics. how many 6 cyl mach 1's where there in the "60's??????but i think the ones that the guys are recreating are "great" ummmmmmmmmmm yes i guess there were 6 cly mach 1's. the mustang II's and ahhh what 'bout the "cobra" II?????? LOL in my day the "Cobra" was this lil 2 seater sports car with performance unmatched to this day.or an "ultra performace" mustang.so with the '74-'78(v-6)mach 1's and the 139HP 302 2 barrel "cobras"ford was tryin to make thier cars more than they where, i think not.they where just bringing back the classics just like the rest of us in this great hobby
