help!!!!! serious question concerning brakes
I painted my calipers and brackets. As I was re-installing them, i noticed a difference in the brackets!! they look identical except after the long serial number one has a stamped 202R and the other has a 208R is there a difference? Does one go on the left sidevs right? HELP!!!!!

RE: help!!!!! serious question concerning brakes
That would be my guess. Call your local Ford dealer parts counter give them the numbers and ask them to identify the parts. You can also Google the whole part number and see what pops up.
Googled this and couldn't find OEM part numbers, give me the whole P/N on one of them.

Nothing on google. I just put on one to see if it fit, and it does. Id just hate to realize i did it wrong doing 70 on te freeway! I might hafta call ford. I also have another V6 owner looking at there ride to verify. If any one wants to look it in on the front caliper bracket, Inside vertical bar, i guess, kinda hard to see, but they are there.

Mustang Brake Specs

V-6 293 (11.4 in) x 30 mm vented disc, twin-piston 43 mm floating aluminum calipers
Rear
GT 300 (11.8 in) x 19 mm vented disc, single piston 43 mm floating iron calipers
V-6 300 (11.8 in) x 19 mm vented disc, single piston 43 mm floating iron calipers
According to this the fronts are aluminum and the rears are iron. Can you determine which two are aluminum and which two are iron?

RE: help!!!!! serious question concerning brakes
I only did the front two at this time. I am gonna do the back ones now... hopefully that will clear something up as someone said, 202 might be the right side and 208 might be the left or vice versa.
