How much did you pay to have your vinyl stripes installed? I bought some online and took it to a local graphics shop and they said $400 to install them--seems pricey..

wow.... I had a complete custom design, cut and install including my trunk panel and door accent for $500... $400 seems a bit pricey is right!

Yeah, sounds pricey to me as well. I was going to have the shop do a custom design and install for $350. Their machine broke down and I bought my stripes from Baltimore Street Mods and just had the shop install them and they charged me $125 to do that work.

Why pay to have them installed, it's easy to do yourself. Just a little a care and a little patience. and that comes from a careless man with no patience LOL. I had no problems applying my stripes. It certainly isn't worth 400 bucks

RE: Vinyl stripe price question
I decided to install these myself. I read that the solution I need to use is a teaspoon of dishwashing liquor in 20 ounces of water. Can anyone tell me if this is true?
My installation plan is to put a 2 inch thick piece of tape down the middle of the car, spray both sides and the adhesive side of the vinyl stripes, put them in place. Squeegee them from the center of the car and out. If any air pockets are there I can poke a tiny hole in it and squeegee it out. Then I am going to put 1 inch thick tape on each side of those to put my pinstripes on.
Can anyone tell me if this is exactly how to do it or not? What if the temperature outside is a little below 60 degrees? Thanks

Follow these instructions and you'll be fine. http://www.baltimorestreetmods.com/install.htm The solution they reccomend also has a bit of rubbing alcohol in it
As for pulling off your old stripes, I don't really know, all I had to pull off were my rocker panel stripes, and I did that on a hot day in the summer time and they pealed right off. I'm sure a hair dryer would work, it just probably won't be very effient. Good luck man
Graphics Solution: Mix in a spray bottle 20 ounces of Water,
1/4 teaspoon of Liquid Dish Soap and 1/2 teaspoon of Rubbing Alcohol.
