just take some steel wool to the chrome to dull it up. looks like brushed. personally I live in Hawaii and don't even notice any glare. hey but to each his own.

My car came with the black dash (I hated the chrome dash). Why can't you order the samepanels that I have? I do have the chrome vent rings which I like.

before i bougth my cari took a test drive on a white mustang, in the interior it had kind of the IUP,MyColor....etc, but the dashboard instead of chrome had a carbon fiber trim. When i bougth my mustang i bougth the cheapest one that doesn't have any trim at all, which i hate, i don't like the chrome trim because of the glare it migth produce and the carbon fiber looked sportier, so does enybody know if i could buy the carbonfibertrim and put it in my car?? if so where and how??

i use to work at a place that built buses, and some of our higher end buses we would have parts "dipped". i took a tour of the company that did it, and it was pretty slick. while i was there they were testing parts from a Caddy CTS-v engine hood cover. they'd take the stock cover, dip it into whatever style you wanted (carbon fiber, brushed aluminum, color changing, heck even camo) and they'd spray it with a clear coat (underhood items were sprayed with a high temp coat). pretty slick stuff. i'll have to find the site.

Roush sells a carbon fiber dash kit, as well as a few other companies which sell one that sticks over your existing panels.
