Default V6 to GT headlight conversion

Is there any good way to convert the V6 grill/headlight to the GT with the large inner lights (not the pony pkg. deal). Thanks

Well, you can squeeze the gt grille w/ fog lights into the stock bumper or you could look at what street scene has. they have grilles that look like the gt grille, but its not honeycomb but instead it is wiremesh. or they sell honeycomb grille but the lights are in the middle of the grille. Blue oval industries sells a grille with the lights for 269 that is okay, no one has it on here yet. and then on ebay for 375 this guy sells a cut down gt grille that fits the bumper pretty well. many choices

There are some sponsors of these forums that offer "take off" parts including the front fascia including the GT fog light grill. It's a simple bolt on, though you will need to order two inner fender liners and a lower air deflector, about 40.00 worth of extra parts to do the conversion. Then you'll have to wire up the fogs.

There are also some eBay vendors that offer the conversion parts.

Of course if you want the stock fascia look (the lower grills are different looking) you can order one of the V6 specific grills that fit the V6 front fascia without modifying it.

Whichever way you go, there are several write ups in the V6 appearance section.

Thanks Guys, Street Scene shows a conversion grill now with the fogs close to the heads in addition to the one were the fogs are close to the middle. Only thing is their web site has somthing to be desired (several item no.s with the same description, pictures not available, etc). so I emailed them, we'll see what they say. I also emailed Blue oval about what I wanted to do. If all fails I'll go the take off route. Thanks again

You could always just get the center fog lights package from v6mustangstuff.com its made for the v6, the grilles that come from a GT doesnt fit right in the v6 bumper.

ORIGINAL: MarioP3_XR4Ti

two inner fender liners and a lower air deflector.............

Hello MarioP3_XR4Ti,
I was aware of needing the 2 front fender liners....(which are 2 piece liners, that all you need is the fronts of the 2 piece liners), my question is what is the lower air deflector and do you have a part#? Just want to get it right.....thanks!!

Cheers!

Eddie
