I've been looking at getting the Shelby Razors for my 05 GT but I'm not sure if I should go with the 18's or the 20's. I'm mostly focused on the best performance of my car and was woundering if the 20's actually hinder the perfomance of the car or even the tires. I don't want to be buying new tires more often if the 20's have less of a tire life than the 18's. I was also told by a friend of mine that the 20's actually affect performance a bit. Is this true and which size should I go for. Remember I'm more worried about performance than looks.

If you are really more interested in performance than looks I would suggest 17 inch rims but no larger then 18’s. 20 inch rims will definitely affect performance because of the weight and the fact the rotational mass is farther from the center of the axle.

if you are going for performace, go with the 18s at most...

For performance I say 18" no bigger or smaller, most brake kits will not fit behind a 17" - wheel so you have to run at least an 18" wheel. I mean who would do all the performance and forget to make ti stop right.
