2007 rear trunk lid simulated gas cap emblem

Have any of you guys heard of the CS6? This is a legitimate Shelby v6 Mustang. Shelby encourages Mustang owners to customize their cars and offers all of the parts needed to Convert your car to what ever you want to make it in to or look like. My Mustang looks closer to a 1967 Shelby with it's Eleanor style grill and I make no apologies about it. It clearly states on the Shelby site that the parts sold on the site will fit v6 cars or GT's. Maybe you should go to the Shelby site and read before passing judgement on some of us who love our cars and just want to make them our own.

Yeah I would never badge-up, (I prefer to make my own badges) but guys, Shelby sells these emblems right on their site. If they refused to sell them, I would feel differently, but if they decide to let the public have them, it's fair game. I admit I will laugh at a car that I know is badged-up though.
To answer the original question:
Use plastic fishing line to geently saw into the foam tape between the trunk and the emblem. Do this on the top and the bottom. Then, with the fishing line lodged behind the emblem, pull straight to you gently, and the emblem will come out of the guide holes. You will need to use Goof Off or something similar to remove the tape from the trunk surface.

the problem with the fake badges is that when you sell the car (or trade it in, or it gets repossessed, etc) then the new owner comes on Mustang Forums and asks us why his "Cobra" or "Shelby" or "GT350" seems to be missing some of the important features of the real cars.
Then he gets upset at how much he paid!
Then he sells it and the NEXT owner wants to know what he has, etc, etc... LOL!
On a more serious side, it's one thing to make a "clone" car, like the way many have cloned GT500's, but misrepresenting the car as something it isn't is frowned upon by all enthusiasts.
If you have a V6, why not try to clone the CS6 or the new Terlingua?

I don't know why people get so bent out of shape with putting GT emblems on 6's. So what? Who cares? Most people wouldn't know if it's a GT or not anyway. Do whatever you want to do to customize YOUR car and leave everyone else alone (it's acceptable to chuckle to yourself if you must when you see one though ).
