I love the cali dream hood its hands down one of the best hoods for our stangs.
But then again i like the 4 inch cowl by cervinis.

I'm seriously considering a carbon fiber hood from Seibon. Their advantages are they are very light weight and strong, require no painting, and minimal adjustments. They also won't distort or crack like fiberglass hoods. Their California dream style hood can be seen here http://www.seiboncarbon.com/pdut_det...asp?ItemID=637
Here's another nice lookingcarbon fiber hoodfrom Seibon
http://www.seiboncarbon.com/pdut_det...asp?ItemID=570
Best price I've seen is $750 shipped from this source
http://www.carbonlimited.com/ford_mustang.htm
when you consider all of these require no prep work and can simply be bolted right on I think they are an excellent bargain. Certain colors may not go well with them but for my torch red I think it will look ballsy. They also can be painted the same as anything else but to me I like the carbon fiber look maybe with stripes.
Another great supplier of quality carbon fiber Mustang hoods is
http://www.visracing.com/catalog/ind...th=24_220_1523
They tend to be higher pricedand can be found on eBay. Check 'em out!

Seibon is good, but I have not been impressed with VIS quality lately, even they have said they thinned out the lyers on their products a bit then they added the disclaimer *for off road use only* . VIS was great a few years back but I do not deal with them anymore.

Personally if you want carbon fiber go with Seibon (and make sure it is Seibon), if you want great quality fiberglass go with Cervini's or RK Sport =) I have always been impressed with the quality from these three companies.

Here is a pic of two Cervini's hoods (one is mine the other is CPhair) and my friend Jimi's with the RKSport hood.

Mine:

Cpair's:

Jimi's:

Carbon fiber only requires no painting if you want to keep the weave pattern visible, its all up to the owner (you).

Yeah, my preference for Carbon Fiber hoods are either of the Seibon linked above. Thanks for the feedback on the Vis Racing. I wasn't aware their quality has been compromised and prefer the styles on the Seibon anyway. The link provided to http://www.carbonlimited.com/ford_mustang.htmguarantees their hoods to be Seibon first quality goods. At $750 shipped I'm going to go for one as soon as some extra cash flows in. Just wish I could see them on an actual car close up.

i believe fang performance makes the best actual functional ram air hood out there. its got a big scoop, looks fantastic, plus hidden within the actual hood is ducting that directs the air to an outlet RIGHT OVER where a CAI would have the filter.

I like the Cervini's Ram Air hood but it looks a little big to me...not really sure about it yet.

I think Fang is out of business. I know Terry, the guy that is working on my car was the brains behind Fang.. When he left the company pretty much went down the tubes. He makes quite a few funcional ram air hoods for the new mustangs(as well as many other vehicles) His name is Terry Delong with Proglass/Profinish and you can reach him at 260-897-2597.Heres a picture of what the new GT500 hood he has looks like..its pretty extreme but just one example of what he has available.
