Default Pony Package

Hey I have the pony package on my car, and I was wondering if the Gt front bumber cover would fit on the car. I pretty sure it would, Im not talking about the GT fogs and grill but just the bumper. Thanks guys.

The bumper should fit, but then you will have a gap going around the grille area. (The GT grille is slightly larger than the V6 grille).

1/2 inch wider and taller i believe... maybe only wider... giving you a 1/4 inch gap all around the grill...

Will the wiring from the pony package fog lights work with the GT fog lights?

They will work with OEM GT fogs (not sure about aftermarket). Ford uses the same wiring harness for the fogs in the GT as it does in the Pony Package. The only difference is that the harness on the GT is integrated into the wiring loom at the factory, and the Pony Package (grill, fogs, and switch), being a dealer installed option, is spliced into the loom and a relay added to the fuse box.

I've never looked, but are you sure about that? My Pony package is not a dealer installed option, it came from the factory. Some dealers installed the Pony package grill afterwards, but mine is a full package with various upgrades including the Pony grill and fogs.

You are correct JimC, thank you for the correction. I misheard/interpereted, the information I was given. So I double checked my research on this topic. From what I could find from Ford Tech Manuals and other sources, my initial information is correct. The wiring harness is the same for both the Pony Package Grill Fogs and the GT Fogs.

Once again, thank you for the correction.

Yes, You will need to use a GT grille, I was trying to fit my Pony Package grille into my Roush Frt nose (same size asthe GT bumber) and it didn't work. So I ordered the GT grille.
