I've been thinking about going with a set of black bullitts and was thinking todaythat mayberather than buy a new set of wheels (and then have my old set or have to sell them) that maybe I couldhave them either painted or powder coated to blackrather than the current anthracite.
Has anyone tried painting the anthracite on a set of bullitts -- or powder coating them?And if I went with powder coat, where would I take them to? Idid aquick check on google but all I turned up is large manufacturing type places.

Call around to your local body or speed shops. Someone in your local area should offer powder coating. I don't know about the anthracite, but I would assume that it could be sandblasted off before the powder coat. Also, avoid painting them - as you drive down the road sand will spin within the rim and bead blast the paint. A cheap paint job will just end up costing you more down the line.

Thanks Mark, that was my concern with paint -- it would get blasted away or simply start to peel. I'll check with the body and speed shops around and see if they have anything.

Thanks Mike -- the price list helps out as a guide to determine whether I want to use my current wheels or go with a new set. I'll have to contact them to see how long it will take to do my wheels.
