Washing wheels
Don't know what everyone does to wash your wheels, but I discovered a pretty easy way this weekend. Meguires detailing stuff seems to be pretty popular on this forum, so when I picked up some supplies this weekend, I bought the Meguires wheel cleaner. I sprayed it on my wheels and waited the 15 seconds that they say in the instructions, and hit it with my Husky 1500 PSI pressure washer. Wow! It got off all the dust and road grime without having to get down in there with a brush or sponge. I'm sold. That's good stuff!
BTW, you do have to be careful with a pressure washer. I actually blew parts of the lettering off my license tags. I used a paint pen to paint them back on, but I really need to go get new tags. Also, I have one of those decals that makes the 3rd brake light say Mustang, and it blew that partially off, too. Now I need to remove the rest of it. Other than that, though, it does a good job washing the car. I still have to use a sponge on the paint, though.
