i'm interested in getting a GT take offrear bumper and someone told me that there is a possibility that the paint won't match. is there any truth to this? i assumed that if my V6 is black and i ordered a black GT bumper there would be no problem.

Same paint code. It is possible that if the GT was a different year that there may be a very, veryminor shade difference but a couple of days in the sun, some wax and that will resolve itself. I have a GT rear and a GT wing taken off a 2006 Vista Blue GT put on my 2007 and I can't tell.

actually if you look at some cars the bumpers aren't a perfect match from the factory...

I bought a take-off rear bumper after damaging mine and the color is off a little but real close. You have to look close, otherwise I was happy considering the price I paid, around $225 shipped.

I added the GT take off kit and it was perfect.... they even polished it for me when I got there to pick it up. This pic shows the bumper & car......
