Neon Quit Working :(

Neon Quit Working :(
So I just went outside to get some pics (Yes it's 10:47 P.M.) and I turned on my neons. The front and back plates work along with the front and rear 30" Neon Tubes. The Passenger side also works, but the drivers side doesn't. I just feel it and I discover that two of the clamps came off and 1/3 of the tube is just dangling there[&o] . I try moving the wires to see if it was a loose connection and nothing. Tomorrow I will have to look and see what's up. I tested them a few weeks ago because I was worried that with my accident one them could have got damaged but they all worked about 2 weeks ago. On top of that I just deleted my only pic of my neons and wire-loomz so now I can't get the site updated with pics until I figure out what's up with the tube. I hope I don't have to buy another one. The replacement directly from StreeGlow is $40.

Speaking of neons.
I remember an OLD film reel from the late 40's or early 50's about a guy who made clear tires and added LIGHTS INSIDE.
I think it was on a Henry "J".
It was supposed to give more visibility and prevent accidents.
Now it would be ILLEGAL.
Looked kinda funky in the B&W newsreel.
The original "neon".

That'd be awesome. I was thinking about fabbing something up on the side rockers so when the neons glow it displays my name on each side. Pretty much in the same manner that the 3rd brake light decals work. Of course i have to get the neon working again. I will probably just have to buy a new tube. At least I won't have to run all of the wires again.

So you're just going to make it easier for the officer to write up your ticket? They won't need your license, "Hey, Look... It's MIKE again! Let's pull him over..."
Not sure that's a super idea.
How about neons that reflect off the chrome on your rims?
Flash... Flash... Flash... Flash...Flash... Flash... Flash... Flash...
As you drive...
Add those little valve stem lights...
Maybe lights that reflect off the inside of your phosphorescent-coated windows...
And then your ALTERNATOR blows up!
Don't know how much power these stock alternators can handle.
I was going to add a set of driving lights or two to mine next year. They're like 50-100 watts each, right?
It is REALLY dark at night up here with NO STREETLIGHTS.
Sometimes, looking out the front dooron a moonlessnight, it is really creepy!
You can look and not make out ANY shapes at all... you can just hear the woodland creatures making noise.
Freakin' weird! Like out of a horror movie...

Yeah, it gets like that here too at night. No street lights suck, especially on the Highway. I have a better idea about the neons. Instead of my name I will just put my License Plate # so that they can run my plates next time lol. Didn't you get my other message saying that I rarely run the streets with them on. They are mainly for show. I have ran a few times, but since they are blue (same as cop cars) they aren't very liked in OH. I see Civics and Dodge Neons running with them all of the time, but I don't need neons to be noticed. You can hear the exhaust a mile away lol. It was just an idea though and I'd thought it be pretty cool at the shows.

Musta missed that post.
How about a neon setup that shoots your slogan ON THE GROUND UNDER YOUR CAR?
The letters would have to be reversed and the bulbs output angled outward...
What do you think?

That's actually what I was talking about with the name. Probably the easiest way to do is is take some plexiglass and paint the part that I don't want it to shine through. In theory it shouldn't be too hard. Believe it or not I never came up with a name for my Mustang. When I come up with something maybe that's what I'll put on each side.

Everything is test fitted. It's going in for paint next week. I figured I'd put the parts on to save a little bit of money and save time for the body shop. As well as the get that cracked bumper off. A black bumper is better than a cracked bumper all the way across with no turn signals and a dented hood.
