I say go for it and have your dad do it as he did a great job on the Ram! I think it is tastefull and different and would set it apart from the rest.

I also wanted stripes on my car, but I didn't want the "ME TOO" variety, ... here's what I ended up with ...

I think it'd be a little much for the hood, but would look awesome on a poster or T-shirt or something. Actually, I just had an awesome idea.....if you are planning on doing shows......fiberglass the heat shield under the hood to make it smooth and rigid, then lay this graphic down on that. Pop the hood at a show and THAT would be completely badass!
