Hey I have recently purchased my first stang and as the first appearance up i want to add is tint. Im an IL/IA driver and i was wondering what people had tinted on their cars. I looked at 20% but, that looks like you would be pulled over ever 2 miles for it being too dark. Any IL drivers with this issue?
Also I was wondering what mods I could do without voiding the warantee. I plan a CAI and exhaust, but only from the cat back. Any help appreciated.

I have 20% on my back and quarter windows and 35% on driver and passenger windows. I felt the same way. I didn't want to get my front windows to dark and have a cop pull me over for something as little as that. But I see cars every where in my city that have their windows so dark, its got to be 10% or maybe even 5% on the fronts. So I think im going to peel my fronts off (35%) and bring it back to the shop and have them put 20% on the front driver and passenger windows.

i work at a tint/rim/car audio shop its best not topeel the tints off by yourself have the guys do it for u and 20% isnt that dark i have 20% on the sides and 5% on the back

Hey Zid3, I have some rglossy black vinyl racing stripes I ordered from www.rallystripes.com. Do you think it would be a good idea to have a tint shop put them on, seeing that their use to a wet application with window tint. I called around my city and a lot of them said they wouldn't do it but one aid they would. What do you think? I've been quoted between 200 and 300 dollar.

the probly with stripes(happened to mine) is that since our bodys have a countours to them its best to go to someone who knows excatly what they r doing and have done it before ask them if they have done it or not,u should check around for a viynal shop or worst come to worse go to the dealer they should do it for like 200

i have 20% all around and never got pulled over for it i live in LA, and limit is like 45%

make sure u get moleskin if you're puttin the tint on or else the windows will scratch up

+1^^^^^ moleskin is key, my driverside is scratched up but u cant see it from the outside so i just deal with it. but i have 20% and u would be suprised. they look black at night but during the day u can still see inside them. i live in GA and the limit is 32% and i have never been pulled over or even given a dirty stare. go with 20 u will be happy
