Will matte black stripes fade in the sun?
What about gloss?
What if theyre painted?

Most likely they will fade to some extent, Depends highly on your location. If you check out alot of the disclaimers they say these graphics will last around five years or at least there guarenteed for that long. You cant go wrong if you have them painted on or another option is to lay the vinyl stripes and have them clear coated in so they look painted on but i dont know how compatable they are with clearcoat.I would look into genuine ford stripes problem with that is i think Ford only offers the 500 stripes but i could be wrong.

About the Clear coating of vinyl graphics:[/align] [/align] Now this is what I heard, so i am not saying that its right or wrong. I Think itdose make somesince.[/align] [/align] [/align] Your not supposed to clear over vinyl do to the fact when the temperature changes the vinyl will expand and contract. if you paint over them that dose not happen like it normally would and they could crack the clear [/align] [/align] [/align] But Again if some one could say ether way i would appreciate it. Because I have a pickup i would like to do this to (not sure it would work if i went over the reflective stripes on my car)
