The ebay grill is only $59.99 plus $20 shipping?!
Wow, If the quality is half decent I'll scoop one up right now.

How is the quality as compared to the stock V6 grill?

Mine is the mineral grey one. I bought it off Ebay, not the same place as linked, but I believe it's the same grill. I've had it for over a year now with no issues. It's a little cracked at the top, but the hood hides it and for a $60 grill it has lasted quite well. I'd buy it again if given the choice.

I emailed Kayee2501 from Ebay and asked if they came with instructions - here was the response:

Hi. Thank you for your mail. I am sorry that I am not sure whether it comes with instruction or not. You may unplug the old grill and plug in this one. Thanks!

heres a pic of my car with the old ebay grill

Hey Ryan, Seems to me, from all our emails, that you said you got the grillefrom v6mustangstuff.com, the spectre D grille you paid $150 for! Now I find out it was a cheap piece of crapoff ofEbay! Thanks for screwing me out of $70 by the way! Buyer beware!

Back to the subject, this apparent ebay grille is a piece of junk. I bought the grille on herefrom ismellhonda, and it had more superglue on it holding it together than anything else. I did actually put the grille on the car, and after something as small as a bug hits it, you better pull out the superglue, better yet buy it in bulk. The lower edge / frame of the grille is not molded correctly, so it sticks up in two places. Not really that noticable, from a distance, but I know, so it bugs the hell out of me.
I did recently replace the superglued piece of junk with another ebay special and also got the matchinglower grille too, sellers id is "kayee2501"and it was very sturdy and fit great, you may want to check with them for the grilles.

So you would suggest the KAYEE2501 grill? Did it come with instructions and how hard was it to install? Did you have to cut or modify the grill to make it fit? THANKS!

That website doesnt list ANY grill for the 05+ mustang, let alone a 05+ V6 mustang. [:'(]
They only offer 99-04 mustang replacement grill for $99

I sent an email last night to that ebay seller as well..
Do you have any pictures of the actual grill you are selling?
I have an 06 mustang that I'd like to buy your grill for.

Is this a replacement grill or an overlay?

Thanks!
Ken

The response

Hi. Thank you for your mail. The product is exactly the same as the picture shown on ebay. This is a replpacement grill. Thanks!

Charlie

I guess it's a craps shoot whether it will have instructions, but at least he knew that it was a replacement not an overlay grill.

Thanks for the pix, I think I'll scoop one up when I get a chance. It's cheap enough that you can't really go wrong unless it's cracked.

When I got the grilles there were no instructions, very well packaged though. It is self explanatory. Both the top & bottom grilles are complete replacements. So you have to take the old ones off and put the new ones in, no hardware, no nut & bolts, etc... On the top grille, get a tiny flat head screwdriver and pop out the 6 pins in the radiator cover to remove it, then carefully pry the grille tabs on the edges of the grille to remove it. New one fits right in. On the bottom it is the same tabs except you have to reach under the bumper to get them. Not bad though, takes maybe 10 minutes for each one.
I was going to post the link, because there was one on there yesterday, but I checked their site this morning and don't see any black ones listed. Give them a few days to post more. They do have a chrome one if anyone is interested.

Edit: Sorry, forgot your other question-- No there is no cutting or modifying, it's a direct replacement.

Well, after 5 days and sending several emails concerning shipping information,I got a response.
Dear buyer
Sorry we didn't inform you earlier, but we found out your item was
defective when it arrived. We are still waiting for the replacement from the
supplier. However, it might take a few more days. We would really like to
complete the transaction, would you give us a little more time to acquire
the item for you?
Kayee
I hope this isnt a sign of things to come...

Anyone else have ANY luck with this seller and their product recently?

They said that it will be another week to get the replacement grill, and another 5-7 business days to ship it out.
Doh! [:@]
