I'm a little worried
Recently I got backed into at the parking lot at work, told the story on here. My car has been in the shop since last tuesday and I miss it so much. Anyway, I went in to check up on it today and saw it. They had the front end all disassembled and I noticed they were using what looked like bondo to fix the big bend left in the fender. I'm really worried that they are doing a cheap job on this now, should I be? Should they have ordered a new fender for this, or bent it back into shape at least?

is there a work order?
anything to tell what is going to be done?
Often the insurance company won't pay for a new fender, forcing the bodyshop to use bondo.
Is this a shop the insurance company made you go to? That's probably why!
Just be sure to check the entire invoice before you sign anything! If it shows new fenders make sure you do a magnet test. And whatever you do, triple check their work BEFORE forking over your deductible and taking the keys. If they screwed something up you will be hesitant to bring it back to them once you get your cool car back.

Not to sure what to think about it. Just make sure you really check your car over good, look at it from different angles. Do Not fork over your money if you are not happy with it! Alot of places are out there to screw you over.

alright, so I called the body shop and asked them about it. They said that neither my insurance company or the other guy's (his is paying for it) will let them buy new stuff like that to repair it. They aren't even buying a new bumper, just repainting the other one. I'm kind of getting mad now and I don't really have a choice unless I go buy the parts myself. I'll definatley be checking it over 10 times when its done, it better look perfect.

What year is your car anyway that they won' t spring for new parts.. Alot of times the insurance company will tell you where to gobut you are entitled to take the car wherever you want to. If it was someone elses fault you have a little more leverage especially if you feel like you got hurt they hate lawsuits.

Your insurance hasnt a damn thing to do with it unless you were partially at fault. the A-hole who hit you has to be responsible for returning your car to the exact condition prior to the collision. F#$% that bondo sh%$. I'd get that insurance number and raise hell. I dont know about you but driving a salvage looking car would **** me of to no end.

Go ask the insurance guy of the other company if he uses the insurance that he sell and then get a rental truck and ram the SHlT out of his car if he says yes I bet he won't dick anyone over ever again
