Shorty Antenna - Silly Question...

I just ordered the 14" shorty antenna and I suppose I should have asked first... Duhhhh...

Do the stock and new antennas simply screw off/on? I'm at work and don't have the Stang to look at so I was just wonderin'.

yep- screws right off - no tools required. I replaced my factory antenna approx. 20 minutes after taking delivery!

I got the 8 inch but the 14 looks nice and level with the roof of the car.

Mine was on tight so I had to use a wrench to start it but yes, just screws on and off.

Thanks again, gents. I did a search prior to my initial post and it did appear that some had reception issues with anything smaller than the 14". Should I list this as one of my mods? Right up there with the dingo-balls??? LOL!

I had a nice polished 14" until I went to the Yellow Rose car show in Ft. Worth a few weeks ago... someone stole it while I was inside looking at the show... bastids!
