After being jerked around by local body shop guys and being quoted $300-$400 to cut the bumper, and repaint it?, I decided to do it myself. I went to Pep Boys and bought a hand held blade, some tape and extra blades and did the cut out myself. I used the template from Pypes and it was super easy, measured twice and cut once. The bumper was suprisingly easy to cut, in all it was about a 1 hour job. To actually cut the bumper it was about 5 minutes and the rest was just sanding and detailing the cut with a razor. OH yeah, and some touch up paint from Ford.

Wow! $300 - $400 to cut the bumper? And repaint it (not necessary)! That's freaking outrageous!

Thank god I'm not in that boat. The exhaust place I'm going to has a local body shop that handles all their "bumper" cutting needs for $45 a pop. The exhaust shop is only charging $100 to install the Pypes Mid-Muffler system I got.

I'm pretty happy with $145 to get it all done since I'm not at all mechanically inclined.
