I need advice on which Hood Pins to buy - the ones FRPP offer say specifically "NOT FOR USE ON THE 2005-08 MUSTANGS" but I still here of people using them. I want to make sure I can find some GOOD ones. Summit has been suggested, but when I looked there most were cheap chrome plated and not stainless. Please help if you have some info. I appreciate it, thanks

I'm sure they can be motified to use them if your are addament in using them ... I have a set from a local performace shop that work great

I have FRPP # M-16700-A, (not installed yet). where does it say "not for use on the 2005 + Mustang???

Bluestar - it says right in the FRPP website. Go in and call up the #M-16700-A part number and read it, it will be the last line.

You're absolutely right!!!! I went to Ford, told them the car I had, said I wanted "Hood Pins" like the ones on the Shelby GT, and this is what they gave me. I don't see how it would work on the Shelby, but not the GT....Same hood???? I hope I didn't do this again....

Measure them. I am sure they will work. They looked identical to the $8 ones from Autozone. They are a little short, but you can make them work. I wouldn't worry to much though.

If you are worried though you can put them to the outside of the hood a little more, you know how the hood bows in the middle, well just make sure that they are mounted to the lower section on the outside of the hood.

But again, I am sure you can get them to work with no problems...
