Default Question about my mustang fogging up windows

Ok, here is the deal. My car isn't driven every day and I have noticed the last couple of day that the windows have fogged up some what. Also my wife cleand the windows and has noticed between weekly wipedowns of the windows they get dirty fast for some odd reason. Any idea if I may have a problem or is this a common problem with the newer stangs?

Thanks,
TASSY5

According to other threads and the very knowledgeable people here,
it's the gases from all theplastic partsof the interior.

+1 and this will lessen over time, and will not fog up as fast/easily

It may be a film of silicone left behind from the factory. Use pure ammonia mixed with half windex. you can find ammonia at most stores. Ive done this on most of my cars inside and out. But do not spray direct on window spray on cloth because it is pretty strong and you dont want to damage your dash. Then when youve done that take a clean lint free cloth and buff the streaks out of the window. Should solve your problems. Also if you drive with your windows down most of the time or smoke in your car this can lead to film build up of moisture and pollutants or tar from smoke. hope I helped your problem.

You are correct with the gases causing it, As a body panel is assembled at the factory it goes through many steps including robotic spot welding and mastic (glue) to seal the seams of the outer and inner skins, It is combination of the mastic fumes and the new car smell that causes the windows to appear to be fogged up. It will take time for the smell to completely go away. Thats that new car smell you get.

Are any of your kids old enough to date?

Well, that could have been another explanation.

Maybe if they were IN the car at the time...

Clean the windows well. Any buildup will hold moisture and make them fog worse.
