Fog Lamps in a 05 V6 using GT switch
I've searched high and low through the forum, but no luck yet. My 05 V6 already has the GT grille and bumper as well as some other mods, and I want to get the fogs hooked up. I'd rather stick with the OEM look by using a GT switch and having the fog lamps go off w/ the hi beams. I know street scenes has their harness, but it uses a toggle switch mounted next to the switch for operation. I also believe this has other limitations to operating as stock.
Does anyone have a solution for using the GT switch for the fogs and having them operate as stock? By stock - I'm hoping the LED indicator for the fogs on the switch lights up when they're on, the chime sounds if I leave them on, and they turn off with the hi beams.
Thanks
John

Here's what the wiring looks like, can't remember off-hand which wires need inserting where to make it all function

BigFloppy,
Thanks for the schematics. Have you done this on your vehicle? I don't have the experience needed to tackle this with just the schematics, but I'd like to try. A second, perhaps easier, idea I have is to just splice into the low beam wires and possibly switch out the fuse for the low beams to something larger. That way they should go on/off with the headlights and on/off with the high beams. Does anyone have any experience with this solution?

There's a How To, in the How To thread, in the top section of the Appearance Mods page.
Hopefully this link works:
