RK Sport CDC Hood Vs. Cervinis Part# 1176
Hiya, I am highly interrested in the California Dream style hood. I noticed Cervinis sells concept hood, part # 1176 ( https://www.cervinis.com/product.asp...p;id=1208#1177 ). Couldn't help but notice it looks just like RK Sports California Dream Ram Air Hood ( http://www.lmperformance.com/5716/73.html ). Does anyone know if there are any differences? or is it just about whose name brand you like better? I had the Cervinis 1171 on my CaliSpecial....some bad times came upon me but come spring will be the new chapter in my mustang history...thanks for your time!

RE: RK Sport CDC Hood Vs. Cervinis Part# 1176
I was all set on to get Cervinis King of the Road style hood. Then I found out it didn't have a grille in the air intake. That means leaves, pine needles and everything else will get sucked up while I'm driving.
The only grille I could see was on their ram air kit add on. It's in a bad spot, though....just before the air box. That's still not acceptable. Debris should be stopped before it gets to my engine, not just before it enters the air box.
Not that it matters, the ram air add one would require extensive modification to my cold air intake. Not to mention hoods like the Cali Dream hood already have the duct worked built in for free.
I'm not sure how it is for the concept hood, but you may want to check with Cervinis first. From the looks of their picture, I'd say all of their hoods have the same flaw.

RE: RK Sport CDC Hood Vs. Cervinis Part# 1176
Ok i spent a lot of time doing leg work on this one...thanks everyone that helped! The other difference I found is that the Cervinis is shorter, being only 1/4" over stock. The RK Sport CDC is 1" over stock. All the pictures I have seen have all been the RK Sport hood and I think that is what I am going to get. Only now I have new confusion! I noted that a lot of people mentioned going to RK Sport directly to order it....is that the best methond? I know the forum asks us to order from sponsors such as LMP Performance, just don't want to have any problems or inferior products. Oh yeah the confusion part.... I was at LMP Performance pricing things out...and noticed that Tru-Fiber and Suncoast also make a hood similar to the Rk Sport CDC hood! Anyone have any info? I'm going to look as much as I can but it took much time. Man, was just trying to price things out! Going to order a bunch and trying to get it all from the same person and all good quality and good service. Anyone who has info I would appreciate it. I'm going to get the Roush front fascia and chin spoiler, Roush Window Louvers and Rear Spoiler and the Cervinis Door Scoops. Now I just have to figure out what the best hood to get is....RkSport....(likely winner at this point)...Suncoast....or Truefiber....
Thanks again guys!
